Welcome to Bukit Tunku Residents' Association
Bukit Tunku Residents' Association, or BTRA, is
the association covering residents living in Bukit Tunku and
Taman Duta. Bukit Tunku, formerly known as Kenny Hills, and
Taman Duta are upscale residential neighbourhoods located in the
north-east of Kuala Lumpur. Both neighbourhoods share common
boundaries and common interests.
BTRA was formalised in May 1992, primarily to
oversee that various aspects of neighbourhood living are
protected and preserved - environment, security, maintenance,
community welfare, planning and development. BTRA is governed by
an executive committee elected every year. All committee members
are residents of Bukit Tunku and Taman Duta who volunteer their
time, energy and expertise to engage city government agencies,
residents and other third parties based on their genuine desire
to build a sustainable environment for healthy living in Bukit
Tunku and Taman Duta.
Membership to BTRA is open to residents of both
neighbourhoods. Members of BTRA are encouraged to subscribe to
the BTRA Security Scheme, its neighbourhood security patrol
watch. For membership to BTRA and the BTRA Security Scheme,

BTRA objectives
- To solicit input, obtain consensus and address the issues
that affect the residents of our neighbourhoods.
- To encourage home-owners and residents to become members of
BTRA to ensure maximum and effective representation.
- To encourage and promote community spirit, awareness, pride
and fellowship among neighbours. Keep our community safe,
secure, friendly, inclusive and welcoming. Sustain our
neighbourhoods as a choice location, diverse by composition
of residents, but build a close-knit and family-oriented
community.
- To protect the value and minimum living standards of our
property.
- To keep communication at optimal levels with governmental
representatives and members of the city council.
- To facilitate programmes that benefit our neighbourhoods,
provide a vehicle for communication among residents, a
vehicle for NGOs and other organisations to work with BTRA
by way of smart partnerships to achieve mutually desirable
goals, and to represent neighbourhood views on issues that
affect us.
- To monitor planning and development as a strategy to protect
our long-term interests within our neighbourhoods; propose
changes that are for the benefit of our neighbourhoods.
Organise activities related to planning, coordination and
implementing joint action as may be deemed to be in the best
interest of the neighbourhoods.
